Brühn
The Brief
Brühn roasts in small batches and wanted that to show, without falling into the kraft-paper-and-cork look that pretty much every coffee brand uses by now. The brand needed to feel stripped-down and a little uncompromising, closer to a design studio than the roastery down the street.
The Approach
The wordmark carries a reduced icon, a circle with a small drop, sitting right next to the lettering instead of standing in front of it as a separate logo. Black and white forms the base system, with a fully black bag for the "Extra Strong" roast, while origin and tasting notes are printed as plainly as a lab label, not like marketing copy.
